Spring Flower Tour at Gaye Gardens
Just documenting my favorite photos from spring! I am trying to do better at keeping a map and archive of what grows well and what is ugly so I can replace the bad and get more of the good. I’m trying to be better at getting rid of ugly plants. I always feel bad pulling something out. You must be brutal!! I like my spring flowers mixed so I just keep ordering random bulbs.
I’m going to try and get a TON of allium to install this fall along with some more pink tulips. We seem to have a lot of red and yellow.
Our first blooms of spring! Crocus coming up through the mulch.
I love how they grow through the leaves!
‘Louvre’ tulips with purple fringe and dark blue centers. I love!!
My favorites! I think these are ‘Del Piero Triumph’ tulips.
‘Triump’ Red and Yellow Tulip
Blue Windflower (anemone)
Red and yellow tulip.
I think these were called ‘Drumline’ tulips. They are peony tulips and were huge and kept falling over.
Bulb party!
‘Red Emperor’
‘February Gold’ mini daffodils.
Salmon hyacinth. Such a pretty color!
Daffodil 'Replete' are the most gorgeous color! I think I bought these at Floret.
Blue muscari was one of the first to bloom!
‘Gwen’ tulips. I think they were Gwen? Maybe Gwendolyn? Gwyneth?
I don’t know what this is but I love it!
Plain old white daffodils from Walmart. So gorgeous!
Allium in bunches!
‘Black Hero’ tulips.
Revenge of the Lily of the Valley. It takes over everything. The most invasive thing I’ve ever seen. I hate it but it is pretty while it lasts.
