Spring at the Gardens

Last fall I planted over 1,400 bulbs in our gardens. So much work! But it was totally worth it.

The blooms trickled in a bit more than I would have liked. This fall, I’m planning on filling in the blanks now that I better understand what sizes, heights, and sun we have. A lot of the late-spring bulbs are just now blooming since we had such a cool spring in northeastern Iowa.

I love these yellow/green tulips! I wish I remembered where I bought them and I would order a bunch more!

If I plant an additional 1,400(ish) bulbs each year then by 2045 I should have everything synched up and perfect!
